2026 Calendar — Year of the Horse

The 2026 Calendar is a year-long illustration project developed in response to the Year of the Horse.
Instead of depicting the horse in a literal or traditional way, I chose the unicorn as a symbolic interpretation — representing movement, resilience, imagination, and a quiet sense of independence.

Across twelve months, the calendar explores themes of momentum, inner strength, and emotional continuity. Each illustration reflects a gentle progression through the year, balancing softness with clarity while maintaining a consistent visual language. The unicorn becomes a recurring presence rather than a central spectacle — appearing as a subtle guide through seasonal shifts and everyday rhythms.

The project was designed as both a functional object and a visual companion. Particular attention was given to composition, pacing, and readability, allowing the calendar to integrate seamlessly into daily life while still carrying narrative weight.

As part of the same visual system, a Christmas Card 2025 was created and packaged as a complementary printed piece. The card extends the calendar’s theme beyond the monthly format, reinforcing the idea of small, meaningful visuals accompanying everyday moments across seasons.

Together, the calendar and card form a cohesive printed set — connecting illustration, symbolism, and functional design within a unified storytelling framework.

This project reflects my ongoing interest in illustration for print, symbolic visual narratives, and small-scale publishing.
